Eilean Ban is the island in which the Skye Bridge now stands and was once home to the author Gavin Maxwell, who wrote the story ' Ring of Bright Water'. There are daily walking tours of the island during the summer, visiting the Maxwell home, the Kyleakin Lighthouse and the wildlife hides.
